S&D Coffee Launches Buffalo & Spring™ Coffees Of Distinction Line

Concord, NC - Today, national coffee manufacturer, S&D Coffee announced the launch of its Buffalo & Spring™ Coffees of Distinction line. This new line of specialty coffees is designed to help high-end hotels/resorts, colleges/universities and finer restaurants satisfy the more sophisticated tastes of consumers accustomed to buying premium coffee in a retail setting.

S&D has timed the launch to coordinate with the Specialty Coffee Association of America show held in Charlotte, NC from April 7 - 10. S&D is the official conference host of the tradeshow.

The Buffalo & Spring line features five different coffee categories each using premium 100% Arabica beans, including proprietary regional blends, Fair Trade Certified™ coffees, varietals, and flavored and decaffeinated coffees. Each of the line's unique blends focuses on a distinct coffee growing region, such as Africa, Pan America, the Caribbean and the Pacific Islands. Coffees range from mild to moderate to intense roast levels to satisfy a wide range of customers.

"The Buffalo & Spring line, which has been in development for just over one year, offers the most memorable coffees available anywhere," said Ron Hinson, President and CEO of S&D Coffee. "Every decision, from choice of beans to concept to naming, was made with high-end consumers in mind. We carefully considered their desires and demands, and even designed the names of the coffees and roasts and the packaging to communicate directly with the end-user on what to expect in terms of flavor, aroma and body."

In their continued commitment to protecting the environment and workers in coffee growing areas of the world, S&D has included three Fair Trade Certified™ coffees in this line: Earth Song Blend™, Ethiopian Harrar and Guatemalan Huehuetenango. Fair Trade Certified™ means that the beans are grown based on principles of sustainable growth and that workers are treated fairly and receive a higher portion of the profits from the sale of the beans they grow and harvest.

In addition, S&D has increased their support of Coffee Kids®, an organization that seeks to improve the quality of life for coffee farming families around the world, with a pledge that ties S&D's donation to sales of Buffalo & Spring coffees.
