Buffalo & Spring Coffee Sommelier
Much like the pairing of wine with food, great coffee can be paired with indulgent desserts for an even better experience for your guests. The flavors and aromas of coffee are naturally paired with sweets.
There are some basic rules of thumb. For example, a mild roast is best paired with a dessert that has more distinctive flavors and an intense roast is best paired with a cream based dessert. Some people feel that the coffee and food should complement each other. Others feel that they should be in contrast, but it is up to each individual to match to their personal tastes.
Following is just a general guide for pairing common desserts with the distinctive coffees from our specialty line, Buffalo & Spring™.
